Looking at other ratings, I'm really shocked they don't have at minimum a 4/5 stars. I drive past this place often but I've never actually gone in and ordered. I was in the mood for taocs, so we decided to give them a try. We got to the line and luckily no one was behind us, as we had questions and wanted suggestions. The lady at the front register was nothing but kind and so helpful! She gave her recommendations, told us what was popular, asked what we liked and more. That kind of service is so hard to come by now a days.
We ended up sharing the chips and queso, then I ordered a brisket taco and a fish taco. First off, this is the best queso I've had in such a long time. I literally couldn't stop eating it and ended up just letting my margarita sit there because it was so good. Only to take a sip of the margarita and see that it too was really good. The tacos. My favorite type of tacos down south, are brisket. That said, I was really impressed with theirs. The fish was okay, it would have been better fried and there was way too much cabbage on there. However, the brisket, chips and dip and the phenomenal customer service made up for this. can't wait to return. -

Meh, it was just alright, but Ibwas not impressed.
This place was pretty average. I started my meal with chips and queso. The chips were fresh and the queso was tasty. Then came the tacos...I ordered two fish tacos, a Tex-Mex Taco and a Steak Taco.
The fish tacos were ok, but there was a bit too much sauce and seasoning on them. The Tex-Mex Taco was probably the best one, but that is not saying much. The steak taco was horrible and full of gristle. I literally started gagging from it and threw it away. Trim the meat folks, people should not wind up with a wad of fat in their mouth as a result of your laziness. Just nasty.
No need to come back to this place, their are way too many choices in this town to endure this crap again. -

Finally, Rusty's stepped up the game and updated their menu with some overdue changes! There are new menu items (love the fried jalapenos), the tacos are now filled with better ingredients and the tacos are larger. Got me interested in Rusty's again, now if only they would go back to staying open till 10, like they did in the beginning, I would be able to stop by more often. Thanks for the welcome improvements.

Breakfast tacos here are great! Eggs are always fluffy and flavorful!
Honestly this place is just average. The tacos are just ok. Not my favorite in Dallas... wouldn't really go here for anything else other than breakfast tacos. -

Lightning fast service! Satisfies a craving for tacos. SUPER inexpensive per taco ($2.50-$3 each). Portions are great.
They don't have all of the unique options like Velvet Taco or Taco Deli, but that's totally fine because they've perfected the classics.
